Fulbrook School

Community

Partnerships

We believe that the partnership between school, parent and child is the key to good learning. We want families to feel welcome and part of the school. We work closely with colleagues from our local community of schools, to ensure that pupils begin their time with us at Fulbrook confident, ready to learn, thrive and make good progress.

Regular opportunities for parents and carers to find out how their child is progressing include: reports, consultation evenings, parent planner, bulletins and newsletters.

Our community within a community

Fulbrook School is very much a focal point in the local community. Approximately 500 pupils attend the school from Woburn Sands and the surrounding villages. We also welcome children from Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. Many of our excellent facilities are used by children and adult groups outside school hours. Our students participate in a variety of community activities, including:

  • Macmillan Coffee morning (just one example of our charitable work);

  • Sports Leaders assisting at feeder schools’ sports days and events;

  • Our choir performing at local residential homes;

  • Carol service at St Michael’s church;

  • PTA events;

  • Careers Day and events, where local employers work with the students;

  • Links to after school care groups at Swallowbrook and Bow Brickhill.
